CULTURAL COMPETENCY
Learn how to effectively engage students from diverse cultures and ethnicities. In order to build cultural competency, educators need to comprehend cultural identities and bias.
Crisis Prevention Intervention
Safety First! Learn how to respond in a crisis situation using the Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) model. Learn to use the appropriate communication styles and non-verbal interventions to deescalate students. The participants will also learn and practice the approved CPI disengagement techniques and physical holds during an emergency situation.
SPECIAL EDUCATION OVERVIEW
Special education is a complex process with federal and state mandates. This training will simplify special education and it will cover the A-Z of the special education program.
SPECIAL EDUCATION DUE PROCESS
This training will clarify the due process requirements such as evaluation reports, Individualized Education Program (IEP), progress reports, and other due process documents.
PARAPROFESSIONAL
Help the paraprofessional staff at your school district learn effective ways to support students, promote independence, establish positive rapport, and collaborate with teachers.
